Confession Lyrics

I have learned my lesson,
this is my confession,
and you'll never hear it from me again.
I am a liar, a cheater and denier.
I've turned my back on all my family and friends
All the hurt that I have done,
all the tales that I have spun,
all the times they cried to make me smile.
So let's have another drink,
and tell each other what we really think,
cause the sun won't, be coming up for a while.
And I know there ain't no, place for me,
in good God's graces and his, company.
But hope that, doesn't mean,
I can't be something good for somebody.

I have learned my lesson,
this is my confession,
and you'll never hear it from me again.
And I know there ain't no, place for me,
in good God's graces and his, company.
But hope that, doesn't mean,
I can't be something good for somebody.

Miss Derringer is a Los Angeles based alternative country/goth rock band fronted by singer and underground artist Elizabeth McGrath and her husband/songwriter Morgan Slade. Miss Derringer is heavily influenced by American music of the late 50s and early 60s - particularly the vintage sounds of outlaw country, early 60s girl group pop. The band's lyrics deal with "honkytonk" subjects like prison, poverty, sobriety, God, death, marriage, murder, and alcohol.
