Copper Kettle Lyrics

Get you copper kettle
Get you copper corn all
And fill it with new made corn match
And never more you're tallYou just lay there by the junipers
While the moon is BRight
And watch them jugs a-filling
In the pale moonlightMildew fall with hickory
Hickory as an oak
Don't you use no green or rotten wood
Cause it will get you by the smoke
And you just lay there by the junipers
While the moon is BRight
And watch them jugs filling
In the pale pale pale moonlightJust lay there by the junipers
While the moon is BRight
And watch them jugs filling
In the pale pale pale pale pale moonlightMy daddy he made whisky yes he did
And my granddaddy he did it too

We ain't paid no whisky tax since 1792
Cause we just layed there by the junipers
While the moon was BRight
And watch them jugs a-filling
In the pale moonlight
