Corazon de Oro Lyrics

It's over before it starts, oh, don't you know
So on your marks, stand by, ready, go
From London to New York, Montreal to Tokyo
I see visions of her, everywhere I goWhat have I become? Now that I'm aloneWell, I'm just looking for a way to break on through these walls
And I'm just looking for a place that I can call my home
And has anybody out there got a soul?
'Cause I'm just lookin' for the girl, the girl with a heart of goldShe only dreams the one's that count with her
Her champagne tastes, she goes
Straight down the rat hole with her total recklessness
And the tomorrow will come on through
And I got nothing but a battered mentor
Nothing but a silhouette girl mentored in darkness, I singWhat have I become? Now that I'm aloneWell, I'm just looking for a way to break on through these walls
And I'm just looking for a place that I can call my home
And has anybody out there, got a soul?
'Cause I'm just looking for the girl, the girl with a heart of gold
I said, I'm just looking for the girl, the girl with a heart of goldYeah and I'm in the corner, I start over
Let's start the whole slate clean, yeah
All the pain and heartache in all my years, I was always to blame

And I dream of this girl, yeah an intelligent ghost
A [inaudible] chick to my neighborhoodI'm a downtown chamber in the front line
Oh, don't let me be misunderstood
Oh, I'm a downtown member in the front line
Eh, don't let me be misunderstoodHeart of goldWell, I'm just looking for a way to break on through these walls
And I'm just looking for a place that I can call my home
And has anybody out there, got a soul?
'Cause I'm just looking for the girl, the girl with a heart of gold
I said, I'm just looking for the girl, the girl with a heart of gold

Rancid is a punk rock band which formed in Berkeley, California, United States in 1991. The band consists of Tim "Lint" Armstrong (vocals, guitar), Lars Frederiksen (guitar), Matt Freeman (bass) and Brendan Stieneckert (drums). The band has released seven albums: "Rancid" (1993), "Let's Go" (1994), "...And Out Come the Wolves" (1995), "Life Won't Wait" (1998), "Rancid" (2000), "Indestructible" (2003) and "Let the Dominoes Fall" (2009). The band originally consisted of Armstrong, Freeman (both former members of Operation Ivy) and drummer Brett Reed, with Frederiksen joining in 1993. Reed left in 2006 and was replaced by Stieneckert.

To date, Rancid has released seven studio albums, one split album, one compilation, two extended plays, and a series of live online-only albums, and has been featured on a number of compilation albums. The band has independently sold over four million records worldwide,[4] making it one of the most successful independent punk groups of all time. The band rose to fame in 1994 with its second studio album, Let's Go, featuring the single "Salvation". In the following year, Rancid released its highly successful album ...And Out Come the Wolves, which produced its best-known songs "Roots Radicals", "Ruby Soho" and "Time Bomb", and was certified gold and platinum by the RIAA, selling over one million copies in the United States alone. Its next four albums, Life Won't Wait, Rancid, Indestructible and Let the Dominoes Fall, were also critically acclaimed, though not as successful as ...And Out Come the Wolves. Rancid is currently working on an eighth studio album, which is said to be recorded in September 2011, and expected to be released in 2012.
