Country Music Has the Blues Lyrics

Well, I sure miss old Waylon and pay checks paid his dues
Ched Atkins on that red guitar, Carl Perkins 'Blue Suede Shoes'
Well, you just don't hear ol' Hank that much, without Cash we're all loose
Maybe that's why country music has the bluesRoy Acuff and Miss Minnie Pearl is who this country made
And all them cheating and drinking songs that made your poor bleed
The Possums, they gone missing before his turn is through
Maybe that's why country music has the bluesIf it makes you feel better, blind me if you want to
Then I think country music has the bluesMerle Haggard, all those strangers, you know, they ain't heard it more
And old Buck and Conway Twitty, they used to pack that old dance floor
And Loretta and Patsy and Tammy Wynette, I bet, they ain't amused
And I bet they ain't surprised to hear that Nashville has the blues
