Crazy Eyes Lyrics

I got a feeling about you love, whos been fooling who
Crazy eyes, I been a foolin you
You sing songs about brass buttons and your shiny silver shoes
Crazy eyes what had you to loseDown among the South Carolina pines you spent
Most of your lifetime in deep thought
Then changes come about and you find the time you spent
Wasn't quite a reason for being boughtSo now to be or not to be is the question now
Crazy eyes, dont you forget how
'Cause Im used to seeing your face in the crowd
You thought you saw me
Crazy eyes blind as you can beDown among the South Carolina pines you spent
Most of your lifetime in deep thought
Then changes come about and you find the time you spent
Wasn't quite a reason for being boughtCrazy eyesSo now to be or not to be is the question now
Hey, dont you forget how
'Cause Im used to seeing your face in the crowd
And you thought you saw me
Crazy eyes, you're blind as you can beDown among the South Carolina pines you spent

Most of your life

Poco, founded in 1968 by Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Richie Furay and Jim Messina (both inducted 1997 with Buffalo Springfield), was one of the earliest in the "country rock" genre that was later commercially popularized by bands such as the Eagles. The band was completed by Rusty Young (pedal steel guitar, dobro, banjo and mandolin) Randy Meisner on bass and George Grantham on drums. Poco's 1969 debut, "Pickin' Up the Pieces" (the title being a reference to the break-up of Buffalo Springfield), received some critical acclaim but generated very litttle enthusiasm commercially.
