Crucify Me Lyrics

Oh it's the hardest thing to love while you bleed
I did a ball of confusion
Oh Mary don't you crucify me
I waited on your half for an answerStuck a needle in my eye
Won't find the way back home
Killed softly out of town
Woah, could you be my love?I was ready to die
... to race me
I remember some beauty
Stuck a needle in my eye
Woah, could you be my love?
And if that just be enoughAfraid to know what I'll hear you
I'm waiting for the ghost to fade
Won't you drop by and save me?
Oh it's the hardest thing to love while you bleed
And did you battle confusion?
Sometimes you just gotta layStuck a needle in my eye...

After founding Jerk with a Bomb in the late '90s, Stephen McBean had by the mid-2000s transformed the Vancouver-area band into a group called Black Mountain. Drawing on blues, psychedelia, acid rock, and the Velvet Underground, Black Mountain's sound was a cross between the darkness and grit of the Warlocks and Brian Jonestown Massacre's trippiness. After debuting in October 2004 on Jagjaguwar with the 12" Druganaut, Black Mountain stayed with the label for an eponymous full-length, issued the following January.
