Crystal Lyrics

You lied to me again; you said we were supposed to be friends
And I told you I really loved you, that I’d do anything for you
My affliction’s killing me; my soul just wants to be free
I’ll do anything for you… Crystal leave me alone!
You foolish kid, you was barely legal
Just 14, after class, by the bleachers is where you first seen her
They called her “Crystal”, and everyone seemed to want her
With one look you was hooked by her deadly scheme
It started out as lip service, then a strip tease
Then came injection and infection in your bloodstream
She said… (I wanna get to know ya, so let’s take a walk)
(A place where pain is bliss, strictly body talk)
Seduced by a kiss so wicked, happened really fast
Inhaled the smoke of deception in one quick blast
To the brain and it seemed to take away the pain
And you was thrilled by the way she called you by your name (Jesse)

You lied to me again; you said we were supposed to be friends
And I told you I really loved you, that I’d do anything for you
My affliction’s killing me; my soul just wants to be free
I’ll do anything for you… Crystal leave me alone!
Crystal, every time I wanna chill you fade away
I gave up everything I got, just so you could stay
My parent told me that I couldn’t see you, but they trippin’
I’m itchin’, scratchin’ from that love you gave me in the kitchen
And I don’t need school; I just want it to be me and you
I even got myself a sweetie just to make some ends
So we can chill and I can show you off to all my friends
Show ‘em how we live, with you and me, I feel complete
Crystal where you goin’? Why you always leavin’ me?
When you’re gone I don’t wanna live, I’m cryin’ out
And why’d you lie to me, when you said my pain would be bliss?
‘Cause I ain’t eaten in a week, and I’m feelin’ sick
You lied to me again; you said we were supposed to be friends
And I told you I really loved you, that I’d do anything for you
My affliction’s killing me; my soul just wants to be free
I’ll do anything for you…Crystal leave me alone!
(I know you can’t resist the way I make you feel free)
(No one loves you like I do, give yourself to me)
(When we met, I remember when we had that walk)
In the park, in the dark Crystal you lied to me
Now my life is fallin’ apart, love turned to lust
And now I’m a fiend for a sniff, even just a puff
What have you done? Why am I diggin’ in this garbage?
My daddy’s rich man, is it?
(It makes you think of me)
Yea, and I just wanna go home, I’m really tired
(Just one more time Jesse, we can go a little higher)
Go away Crystal; please just leave me be alone!
Pulled the needle out his arm, and he went home
You lied to me again; you said we were supposed to be friends
And I told you I really loved you, that I’d do anything for you
My affliction’s killing me; my soul just wants to be free
I’ll do anything for you… Crystal leave me alone!
Just leave me alone…

Fresh I.E. is a recent Grammy nominated Christian hip-hop artist from Winnipeg, MB. He uses his music as a tool to reach youth at risk.

The sight of a blind man changed the life of Rob Wilson forever. Standing in a busy street by himself, Wilson quietly pulled the blind man out of harms way. Later on that same day, the same blind man was found sleeping by Wilson, sleeping on the front steps to his house. At the time, Rob Wilson was waist-deep into illicit crime and substance abuse. The question many people ask is how did the blind man find him? As for the answer to the question, there isn't one. One thing Rob did know was that this was a sign from God, showing him that he was walking blind through life and headed for disaster.

The rest is history.

Fast-forward over a decade now and you will find Rob Wilson better known now as "Fresh I.E." (Fresh In Eternity). Since transforming his life and discovering his purpose through hip-hop, Wilson has achieved musical accolades and approval far beyond his wildest dreams. In 2003 he became the first ever Canadian hip-hop artist nominated for a Grammy Award (Red Letterz) and followed that up in 2005 with a subsequent Grammy-nod (Truth Is Fallin In Tha Streetz). His music has also found mainstream favour and success with his singles finding heavy rotation on Q-94 FM in Winnipeg, not to mention charting as high as number 2 on the Christian Hit Radio Charts (CHR).

With all of the recognition and awards you might say Rob "Fresh I.E." Wilson's career has reached a pinnacle...

Wrong.

This is only the beginning. Back in 2000, Wilson had a vision of a center with four doors pointing North, South, East and West. A place to help kids get off the streets, teaching them in the arts of music, drama and The Gospel of Jesus Christ.
