Daddy Doesn't Pray Anymore Lyrics

Daddy doesn't pray anymore.......James KingDaddy doesn't pray anymore
I guess he's finished talking to the lord
He used to fold his hands and bow his head down to the floor
Daddy doesn't pray anymore
I remember even when times were bad
He'd thank Jesus for everything he had
For a good wife three children and food upon our plate
Yeah everything was right when he said graceDaddy doesn't pray anymore
I guess he's finished talking to the lord
He used to fold his hands and bow his head down to the floor
Daddy doesn't pray anymore(Break)There was a time we didn't get along
Cause I thouht I was right and he was wrong
When I laid down at night I heard him get down on his knees
And pray a little prayer for meDaddy doesn't pray anymore
I guess he's finished talking to the lord
He used to fold his hands and bow his head down to the floor
Daddy doesn't pray anymore(Break)Today I followed daddy down to the church
And listend to the preacher read gods word

We sang his favorite hynm but daddy didn't make a sound
This afternoon we laid him in the groundDaddy doesn't pray anymore
I guess he's finally walking with the lord
He used to fold his hands and bow his head down to the floor
Daddy doesn't pray anymoreNo Daddy doesn't pray anymore
