Daddy Never Cried Lyrics

Daddy never cried, he just turned away
Never showed the side that was soft as clay
What a weak reply
You live inside a blanket of blameWhy would you need a gift of pardoning
Until your sin becomes your own?
Soon comes inevitable reckoning
Then you'll understand
Just how much true love can change a manDaddy never cried, will not work today
Put your pride aside, we all need grace
Somewhere deep inside
What you love is what you need to hateWhen will you stop blaming somebody else?
You make decisions on your own
You choose to leave the truth for nonsense
Do you understand
Just how much the truth can change a man?Daddy neverWhy would you need a gift of pardoning
Until your sin becomes your own?
Soon comes inevitable reckoning
Then you'll understand

Just how much true love can change a manDaddy never cried
Put your pride aside

PFR

PFR is a Christian rock band from Motley, Minnesota comprised of singer/guitarist Joel Hanson, bassist/singer Patrick Andrew, and drummer Mark Nash. With influences like Crowded House, Jellyfish, and Oasis, they gained quite a following with just a few albums, starting with Pray For Rain in 1992, Goldie's Last Day in 1993, Great Lengths in 1994, & Them in 1996. They decided to split in 1997, releasing a best-of entitled The Late Great PFR (1997), which hosted a few new tracks along with some of their personal favorites.
