Dalia (feat. Haifa Kamal) Lyrics

In the variable air of Arabia
Felt the rise of a wayward breeze
Whisper music of Mesopotamia
it lead me towards herI saw a girl shed a tear for Arabia
Saw the kohl trickle down her cheek
She was still the most beautiful stranger I ever had seenAnd i have roamed across the earth
but i have yet to find eyes like Dalia'sاعشق عربيه
مشرقيه
سمراويه
و طلتها البهيه
I've been to Seville, Adelaide, Seoul and Bahia
Still I haven't seen eyes like Dalia'sDum-taka-dum goes the drum in Arabia
In the night as the children cheer
All the men sing a 'leila ya leila'
And the women a 'weili ya weil'
Telling tales of beloved Arabia
Firelight flickered on her skin
Serenading 'ah leila ya leila'

To the cries of 'ah weili ya weil'And i have roamed across the earth
but i have yet to find eyes like Dalia'sاعشق عربيه
مشرقيه
سمراويه
و طلتها البهيه
I've been to Barranquilla, Las Vegas and Sicilia
Still I haven't seen eyes like Dalia's

There are two artists under this name. (1) A middle eastern jazz Arabic funk fusion ensemble that originates from the Raleigh/Durham Triangle of NC. The instrumentation is usually bass, oud, keys, dumbek, drum set, sometime a double neck guitar is thrown into the mix. It is an awesome blend of western and eastern ideas fusing seamlessly through “traditional” oriental themes, and western jazz/ funk.
