Danger Heartbreak Dead Ahead Lyrics

When you give more than you get
You're in danger
You may find that you're in love
With a strangerBut who knows what evil
Lurks within the hearts of men?
It's vanity, insanity
You play what you can't winIf you find that you're losing
Girl, it's time to get on moving
'Cause there's danger
Heartbreak dead aheadWell, it only takes one second, girl, to learn
That playing with fire will get you burned
So girl, don't you be foolishThey say that love is blind
But it's clear as the highway sign
That reads 'Danger, heartbreak dead ahead'
Heartbreak dead aheadBetter mind, girl, read the sign, girl
Yeah, danger and heartbreak dead aheadI want somebody's boy
(Heartbreak dead ahead)
Start packing up your heart

Now listen to me, girlThere's nothing to be gained
So don't keep going on in vain
There's danger and heartbreak dead ahead
Yeah, I said, "There's danger and heartbreak dead ahead"Danger, I said, "There's danger"
(Heartbreak dead ahead)
I said, "There's danger and heartbreak dead ahead"
Baby, yeah, I said, "There's danger"
(Heartbreak dead ahead)

Bonnie Raitt, (born November 8, 1949) is an American blues and R&B singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was born in Burbank, California, the daughter of Broadway musical star John Raitt. Raitt began playing guitar at an early age, something not a lot of her high school girlfriends did. "I had played a little at school and at camp," she later recalled in a July 2002 interview. "My parents would drag me out to perform for my family, like all parents do, but it was a hobby—nothing more...I think people must wonder how a white girl like me became a blues guitarist.
