Dark Light Lyrics

I can see a face when I'm dreamin' at night
Beckoning me with screamin' eyes
I feel a presence everywhere
I catch a glimpse but then there's no one thereI see a dark light that I've seen before
A wishful sight and an open door
A wishful sight and a dream no moreShe caught my eye from across the room
Winked at me not a moment too soon
My friend was talking to me of death
Before I took another breath
I see a dark light that I've seen before
A wishful sight and an open door
A wishful sight and a dream no more
I played the game like I didn't care
She talked to me with the skin in her hair
The message sent that she carried inside
A pretty face and then the sailor diesI saw a what the, huh?!

The Beat Farmers were a cowpunk band which formed in San Diego, California, United States in 1983. For most of the band's career, its lineup consisted of Country Dick Montana (vocals, drums, guitar), Jerry Raney (guitar, vocals), Buddy Blue (guitar, vocals) and Rolle Dexter Love (bass). Blue replaced original guitarist Joey Harris, who left the band in 1986.

The band issued seven albums - "Tales of the New West" (1985), "Glad 'n' Greasy" (1986), "Van Go" (1986), "The Pursuit of Happiness" (1987), "Poor and Famous" (1989), "Viking Lullabys" (1994) and "Manifold" (1995) - before Country Dick Montana's 1995 death ended the band.
