Day In, Day Out Lyrics

Day in, day out
That same old voodoo follows me about
That same old pounding in my heart, whenever I think of you
And darling, I think of you, day in and day outDay out, day in
I needn't tell you how my days begin
When I awake I get up with a tingle, one possibility in view
That possibility of maybe seeing youCome rain, come shine
I meet you and to me the day is fine
Then I kiss your lips and the pounding becomes
The oceans roar, a thousand drumsCan't you see it's love
Can there be any doubt
When there it is
Day in and day outI'm gonna love you like nobody's loved you, come rain or come shine
I meet you and to me the day is fine
Then I kiss your lips and the pounding becomes
The oceans roar, a thousand drumsCan't you see it's love
Can there be any doubt
When there it isThere it is, day in, day out

There it is, day in
There it is, there it is
There, there, there it is
There it is, there it is
Day out

Ella Jane Fitzgerald (April 25, 1917 in Newport News, VA – June 15, 1996), also known as Lady Ella (the First Lady of Song), was one of the most influential jazz singers of the 20th Century, the winner of thirteen Grammy Awards, the National Medal of Art presented by President Ronald Reagan and the Presidential Medal of Freedom presented by President George H. W. Bush. Gifted with a three-octave vocal range, she was noted for her purity of tone, near faultless phrasing and intonation, and a "horn-like" improvisational ability, particularly in her scat singing.
