Days of Wine and Roses Lyrics

The days of wine and roses
Laugh and run away like a child at play
Through a meadow land toward a closing door
A door marked nevermore, that wasn't there beforeThe lonely night discloses
Just a passing breeze filled with memories
Of the golden smile that introduced me to
The days of wine and roses and you(The lonely night discloses)Just a passing breeze filled with memories
Of the golden smile that introduced me to
The days of wine and roses and you

John Leslie "Wes" Montgomery was an American jazz guitarist. He was born March 6, 1925, in Indianapolis, Indiana, as part of a musical family including his brothers Monk (string bass, electric bass) and Buddy (vibraphone, piano). He died of a heart attack on June 15, 1968. Montgomery is best known for his unconventional technique on the guitar, which uses octaves and block chords to great extent in his solos, and by plucking the string with his right thumb in place of a pick.
