Dead to Rights Lyrics

Yes, here is what you came for
I know what I'm here for
Knocked out right to the floor
Committed to kill
Kill what you don't know
Can't trust, let it goSay what you mean
Don't ask what's the story
You'll be knocked out right to the floor
Committed to kill
Kill what you don't know
Can't trust, let it go
The god damned hypocrisyMy story's in yours
Throw at me what you got
'Cause I will break free
From all the words that bind meMy story's in yours
Throw at me what you got
'Cause I will break free
From all the words that bind meI fear to be tied

My consciousness dead to rights
Fuck suicide
Living alongside youSo get what you came for
Locked up on the floor
Get straight at the door
Get yourself more inventive
[Incomprehensible]Say what you mean
Don't ask what's the story
You'll be knocked out right to the floor
Committed to kill
Kill what you don't know
Can't trust, let it go
The god damned hypocrisyMy story's in yours
Throw at me what you got
'Cause I will break free
From all the words that bind meMy story's in yours
Throw at me what you got
'Cause I will break free
From all the words that bind meI fear to be tied
My consciousness dead to rights
This fucking suicide
Living along side youLet me out, let me out
Let me out to try
I've got no idea
I've got dead to rights, yeah
Dead to rightsDon't take it too personal
Is just that trouble is coming, yeahYeah, you know it could be goddamn true
I got you dead to rights
I got you dead to rights
I got you dead to rights
I got youI got you dead to rights
I got you dead to rights
I got you dead to rights

The Twilight Singers is an alternative American band. The group was initially formed as a side project by The Afghan Whigs leader Greg Dulli in 1997. After the Whigs disbanded The Twilight Singers became an artistic vehicle, and has released four albums backed by international tours. While in-between Afghan Whigs albums and amidst a dispute with their record label, Elektra, Dulli recorded demos for the act with friends and collaborators Shawn Smith (Brad, Satchel, Pigeonhed) and Harold "Happy" Chichester (Royal Crescent Mob, Howlin' Maggie) in New Orleans.
