Dear Your Holiness (Live At Looney Tunes) Lyrics

Hey mom, daddy left me here alone
Someone save me, someone save me
Hey God, I'm out here on my own
So now will You save me, nowI think it's funny you've been quiet for so long
When you're quiet no one proves you wrong
And dear your holiness, your army's safe and sound
Down here dying for youAnd I don't know how they found me
Found me here
And I don't know how they found me
Found me hereWell, maybe you can trick a lot of 'em
Maybe if you fool the best of 'em
The rest will come aroundWe're all scared
So they dressed you up in all these different names
I've gotta find peace with myself
Before I give you all, before I give you anything at allI think it's funny you've been quiet for so long
When you're quiet no one proves you wrong
And dear your holiness, your army's safe and sound
They're down here dying for youAnd I don't know how they found me

Found me here
And I don't know how they found me
Found me hereWell, maybe you can trick a lot of 'em
Maybe if you fool the best of 'em
The rest will come around, aroundBeen thinking that there's something more
And that you'd come down and tell me yourself
Now I realize it's a waste of time
Another penny thrown down the wellAnd I don't know how they found me
Found me here
And I don't know how they found me
Found me hereAnd I don't know how they found me
Found me here
And I don't know how they found me
Found me hereMaybe you can trick a lot of 'em
Maybe if you fool the best of 'em
They'll come around

Formed in October of 2000, Bayside consisted of four musicians looking for a chance to play music the rest of their lives. They recorded a demo and the band began playing shows around Long Island, NY. They quickly caught the eye of Brooklyn, New York's Dying Wish Records, who released their first EP, "Long Stories Short", featuring the songs "Foot Impressions", "Days Of My Life", "Red Head VS. The Pretty Red Bracelet", "Downtime", "Ask For It", and "Advance Letter Goodbye".
