Death of Samantha Lyrics

People say I'm cool
Ya, I'm a cool chick, baby
Every day I thank God
That I'm such a cool chick, babyWhen I'm on the phone, I thank God
My voice sounds smooth and clear without a trace of tear
When I'm at work, I thank God
I still have that smile Ma used to say lit her dayBut something inside me
Something inside me died that dayPeople say I'm cool
Ya, I'm a cool chick, baby
Every day I thank God
That I'm such a cool chick, babyA friend lent me shades so I could
Hide my eyes that day
It was a snowy day, the shades have seen
A lot of things, I don't wanna know myselfWas like an accident, part of growing up
People tell me
But something inside me
Something inside me died that dayPeople say I'm cool
Ya, I'm a cool chick, baby

Every day I thank God
That I'm such a cool chick, babyWhen I'm on the phone, I thank God
My voice sounds smooth and clear without a trace of tear
When I'm at work, I thank God
I still have that smile Ma used to say lit her dayWhat can you do?

George Alan O'Dowd (born June 14, 1961, in London, United Kingdom), a Irish/British singer, songwriter & DJ who gained fame with his group Culture Club during the 80s. He epitomized the term "blue-eyed soul" and received just as much airplay on R&B radio stations as pop stations. George's androgynous style caught the attention of music executive Malcolm McLaren, who arranged for George to perform with the group Bow Wow Wow, featuring Annabella Lwin, at various shows. George called himself Lieutenant Lush and nearly stole the spotlight from Lwin.
