Deep Water Lyrics

There are angels singing low inside my head
Cool tango blue and samba red
I want to scratch your name upon my wall
'Cause I'm drowning here beneath love's waterfallDeep water
Deep waterBaby your love's got a hold on me
You row my boat right out to the sea
See the woman inside the girl
Dancing on the roof of the invisible worldWe are walking like the waves beside the sea
There are oceans in my eyes that you can't see
And my arms reach out for you into the dark
I feel your skin where my nails left their markDeep water
Deep waterBaby your love's got a hold on me
You row my boat right out to the sea
See the woman inside the girl
Dancing on the roof of the invisible worldSouls alike
Hands alikeBaby your love's got a hold on me
You row my boat right out to the sea
See the woman inside the girl

Dancing on the roof of the invisible worldBaby your love's got a hold on me
You row my boat right out to the sea
See the woman inside the girl
Dancing on the roof of the invisible worldSouls alike
[Incomprehensible]Souls alike
Hands alikeSouls alike
Hands alike

Bonnie Raitt, (born November 8, 1949) is an American blues and R&B singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was born in Burbank, California, the daughter of Broadway musical star John Raitt. Raitt began playing guitar at an early age, something not a lot of her high school girlfriends did. "I had played a little at school and at camp," she later recalled in a July 2002 interview. "My parents would drag me out to perform for my family, like all parents do, but it was a hobby—nothing more...I think people must wonder how a white girl like me became a blues guitarist.
