Deeper Than That Lyrics

With a closet full of clothes, she's got nothing to wear
It's almost time to go and she can't do a thing with her hair
She asks me, "Do I look alright?"
I said, "Baby you look just fine"But my love goes deeper, my love goes deeper than that
The beauty I see can't be bought off a rack
When God made her he used heaven and earth, he held nothing back
But my love goes deeper, my love goes deeper than thatWe're out on the town, so she thought we'd celebrate
We raised our glass and toasted in memory of our first date
Looking back we've come so far
I'm still proud when she's on my armBut my love goes deeper, my love goes deeper than that
The beauty I see can't be bought off a rack
When God made her he used heaven and earth, he held nothing back
But my love goes deeper, my love goes deeper than that

Country star Doug Stone made his name as a baritone balladeer, even though he's also adept at up-tempo country tunes.
Stone was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, and learned guitar at the age of five from his mother, also a country singer. As a teenager, he performed in skating rinks in his hometown and later moved on to playing area bars while working long hours as a mechanic during the day.
It took Stone several years to be “found” by his soon-to-be manager who helped him finally land a record deal with Epic.
