Deer Song Lyrics

Tearin' all over the forests of Maine
And the snow is all white on the pines
And the sad laughing cry of the seagull dies
Just like mine.
Oooooo oooo oooo. Oooooo oooo ooooo.
I walked all over these dark windy woods
With my hunting spear and my disguise.
But the green trees all groan at
The sight of the woe in my eyes.
Oooooo oooo oooo. Oooooo oooo ooooo.
Soft is the voice that I hear in my heart.
Cold as the steel traps outside
As I stare in the ember it's you I remember
My sweet summer bride.
Oooooo oooo oooo. Oooooo oooo ooooo.

There are at least two musicians under this name: 1) Andy Pratt (born Andrew S. Pratt in Boston, MA on January 25, 1947) an American rock music singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. In the 1970s, he made a number of experimental records that were appreciated by small audiences, and scored a commercial hit with "Avenging Annie". After words of praise from Rolling Stone magazine ("By reviving the dream of rock as an art and then re-inventing it, Pratt has forever changed the face of rock"), he tried a more commercial approach.
