Deliverance Lyrics

Is there no one to deliver you from your ignorance?
Maybe you'll look and see there'll be no deliverance
Turn to vulture parasites who prey on lost souls
Suck the life from hapless fools who give them controlNo, no deliverance
Pick your own, your own deliverance
No, no deliverance
Pick your own, your own deliveranceSad domination by those who say
More than they'll ever know
A ticket to the depths of dogma hollow
It's them you followNo, no deliverance
Pick your own, your own deliveranceIr-redemption, pure deception
Won't see what's if or you
Shutter your world and you won't be shut out
The devastating truthWill you, then I'll ever come
To trial against devastating proof
Denial on trial like a jumbo cap vile
Brother are you through? No one to deliever you from your ignorance
(No, no deliverance)

Maybe you'll look and see they'll be no deliverance
(No, no deliverance)
Turn to vulture parasites who prey on lost souls
(No, no deliverance)
Suck the life of hapless fools who give them control
(Pick your own, your own deliverance)Sad domination by those who say
More than they'll ever know
To the depths of dogma hollow
It's them you followBleeding inside breathing with pride
They tow the line
We feed the crime with borrowed time, selected fine
No longer will they know, we amputate the shown

Founded by three teenagers in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1982, Corrosion of Conformity began as an hardcore / punk band and went on to transform heavy music, challenging boundaries and serving as what Decibel Magazine called “a crucial stylistic lynchpin in the bridge between metal and punk” that “irrevocably reshaped crossover’s sonic possibilities.” Thirty years and many changes later, COC’s original trio is back with a self-titled release for London-based independent Candlelight Records.
