Desert of Skulls Lyrics

I had a vision
Of a future time
It was a vision of the end
A plain of broken bones under a blackened sky
Dawn of the epoch of the deadNothing remains
Armageddon has come
A barren terrain
Desert of skullsCivilization.
Lies in the ruins and the dust
Before my all perceiving eye
The evil dead have risen and fulfilled their hateful must
There is no living soul in sightNothing remains
Armageddon has come
A barren terrain
Desert of skullsAnd now there's nothing left
Nothing but dust
Nothing but bonesOne million skulls
Gleam in the sun

Wind-polished bone
Man's day is doneAnnihilation
Of all that you have known and loved
Zombie apocalypse has come
Obliteration
Of every thing that ever smiled or laughed
Every last tongue has fallen dumbNothing remains
Armageddon has come
A barren terrain
Desert of skullsA fateful omen of the end of mankind
This black obscene revelation manifests in my mind
A shattered bone-yard of fossils gleaming red in the dusk
Numberless legions of skeletons returning to dustA freezing wind
Rising as my vision dims

Enjoy the lyrics !!!

The name Send More Paramedics is a reference to the 1985 horror/comedy, Return of the Living Dead. The band originally formed as a side project of Leeds band 'And None of Them Knew They Were Robots, but have gained a higher profile than And None of Them Knew They Were Robots, who have since split up. The band played in the 1980s crossover style, what they described as "Zombiecore... a fusion of 80s thrash and modern hardcore punk", with lyrics about zombies and cannibalism, and are heavily influenced by zombie movies.
