Devil Child Lyrics

One of these days I know
That I'll have to pay my debts
The past is catching up to me
I'm runnin' out of breath
This is not the earth
That gets acquired by me
The kittens go into the sack
The sack goes in the creek
A tap on my shoulder
A knock on my door
A face in the mirror
That I can't recall
They say the day
He comes to find you
You'll hear a ringin' bell

And I will, and I will, and I will
Rain cloud devil child
Brought up in a cult
It's a different kind of plan
But it gets the same result
I don't know how,
I don't know when
But it feels like something's creepin' up
Behind me again
Well, I walked through water
And I walked through mud.
And doctor says it seems to be
A sickness in the blood
You can leave the city
Just don't move up to the hills
The hunger might not kill you,
But the boredom probably will, hey
I've hit my peak
It's pretty clear
Rest of the trip
Downhill from here
They say it's time to clear the table
It's time to fit the bill
And I will, and I will, and I will.
Rain cloud devil child
Fevers and chills
They can find a cure for cancer
But the money's in the pills.
I don't know how,
I don't know when
But it feels like something's creepin' up
Behind me again
Rain cloud devil child
*something about an ocean? then ends.

The Snowdroppers came together in the third quarter of 2007, a group of fucked up misfits and STD carriers with one thing in common; the desire to introduce the blues to a new generation of fans. Realising they were in fact four clean-limbed honkeys, they decided to mix things up a little, which seemed to work in their favour, as their first ever show drew 1300 paying audience members. Of the 1300, only half asked for their money back – thanks in part...
