Diabolus Lyrics

I'm at the darkest side of life
I've crossed the demon's paradise
I've seen the fallen angels' eyesSome call this state insanity
It's just as dark as it can be
There's no way out I won't be freeCan someone hear my call?
Come and help me through it all
Can you ease the pain?
So my life won't be in veinI'm heading to the stars
But the road won't lead no longer
Up to the sunrise it won't heal
The liberty seems far awayCan't find the way
The vision won't be clearer
I see blood on my hands
No more footprints in the sand
DiabolusAll through my life is close to hell
I know my crime, I know it well
There's no regret for me to tellI'm lost inside my misery
I've prayed to God to set me free

But there's a darker voice inside of meCan someone hear my call?
Come and help me through it all
Can you ease the pain?
So my life won't be in veinI'm heading to the stars
But the road won't lead no longer
Up to the sunrise it won't heal
The liberty seems far awayCan't find the way
The vision won't be clearer
I see blood on my hands
No more footprints in the sandUnleash me from my chains, who am I?
I'm a slave under my own failures
I'm a sinner that lives in a lie
I've been down to the deepest valley
But who am I? Please help meCan someone hear my call?
Come and help me through it all
Can you ease the pain?
So my life won't be in veinI'm heading to the stars
But the road won't lead no longer
Up to the sunrise it won't heal
The liberty seems far awayCan't find the way
The vision won't be clearer
I see blood on my hands
No more footprints in the sand
DiabolusUnleash me from these chains
Release me from this pain
I'm lost in miseryUnleash me from these chains
Release me from this pain
I'm lost in misery

Primal Fear is a German power metal/heavy metal band formed in 1997 by Ralf Scheepers (Vocals/Ex-Gamma Ray, ex-Tyran' Pace), Mat Sinner ( Bass and Vocals/Sinner), Stefan Leibing and Tom Naumann (Guitars). Their style is a heavy power metal sound with the Halford-esque vocals of Ralf Scheepers that give a feeling of Judas Priest's Painkiller era. Scheepers formed the band after he was not hired as Rob Halford's replacement in Judas Priest, a job for which he was a finalist, that went to Tim "Ripper" Owens.
