Diamond In the Rough Lyrics

Well, I've been up, yeah, and I've been down
Been kicked around, yeah, this God-forsaken town
So many faults, so little time, I've got to find my peace of mind
Peace of mind, yeah, yeah, yeahI was looking for something, anything at all
Something to believe in, spraying paint on the walls
I've made mistakes, yeah, I paid for them too
What's a pot-boy supposed to do?That you sell like a diamond in the rough
You're done, you're damaged, all you need is a little love
Well, inside you sparkle like the stars above
Won't be there in the morning when the going gets tough
Yeah, yeah, yeahThere was a time when I could not say
I got a reason to live another day
I just got a treasure, they all passed on by
And I can understand the reasons whyThat you sell like a diamond in the rough
You're done, you're damaged, all you need is a little love
Well, inside you sparkle like the stars above
Won't be there in the morning when the going gets toughThat you sell like a diamond in the rough
You're done, you're damaged, all you need is a little love

On the inside you sparkle like the stars above
Won't be there in the morning when the going gets toughYeah, yeah, diamond in the rough
Yeah, yeah, well, you're like the stars above
Yeah, yeah, all you need is a little love
Won't be there in the morning when the going gets toughDiamond in the rough, yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh, like the stars above now, yeah, yeah
All you need is a little love now, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
