Didn't I Lorraine Lyrics

Waiting in silence
You had to go
'Cause just like a baby
You had to knowAnd to think that by leaving
We would see more clear
To undo the pattern of doubt and fear,
Drifting apart
It has brought us nearer
To believing
By your leavingLover away in the night,
Speak to me of your light,
Lover lead me again,
I loved you, didn'tI Lorraine Speaking of frailties
So hard to know,
Waiting in silence
As you had to goConcerning the truths
That we'd see more pure
The next time we'd touch

We would be assured
In the soft summer nights
And our fragile lights,
We could believe in, by your leavingLover away in the night
Speak to me of your light
Lover lead me again
I loved you, didn't I Lorraine
