Different Shades of Blue Lyrics

Sitting in the glare of the neon smoke
Always mistaken for the light of hope
Mourning in a lonely woman's eyes
She's fallen one more timeFeeling the weight of the morning sky
Running again from another lie
From gray to midnight I've been through
Every broken hearted hueYou may think I'm lying but I swear that it's true
If you think hurt only comes in one color
Have I got news for you?
I've seen it all in different shades of blue
Yeah, yeah, yeahFaded photo of a house for sale
Cold dark pewter of a casket rail
There's not too much these eyes ain't seen
Between the yellow and the greenYou may think I'm lying but I swear that it's true
If you think hurt only comes in one color
Have I got news for you?
Well, I've seen it all in different shades of blueEvery time we fell in love
Breaking down and making up

The azure of a new sunrise
Well, the shadow of a moonlit night
Standing in the ocean laughing
Watching as the waves come crashing
Seeing colors that we never even knewYou may think I'm lying but I swear, I swear it's true
If you think hurt only comes in one color
Have I got news for you? Well, I've seen it all
Oh, I've seen it all in different shades of blueWell, I've seen it all in different shades of blue
Different shades of blue

Bo Bice has music in his blood. Born Harold Bice in Huntsville, Alabama on Nov. 1, 1975, Bo was raised in the south by his song-singing, instrument-playing, music-worshiping parents. He competed in the fourth season of American Idol and was the runner-up to Carrie Underwood.

Bo's first album, titled The Real Thing, was released on December 13th, 2005. It includes several original songs on which Bo shares writing credit such as “It’s My Life”, which Bo wrote with Clif Magness and Kara DioGuardi.

Bo's second album, "See The Light" was released October 23, 2007. It was recorded in his own studio, and under his own independent record label, Sugar Money (teamed up with StratArt for that project). The album was co-produced by Bo and Frank Liddell. The songs (all written by Bo, some in collaboration with friends) reflect a diverse spectrum--from all-out southern rock, country, funk, to emotional ballads.
