Dinosaur Pet Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
I love, I love, I love my dinosaur pet
Yeah, sweet dinosaur pet
I love, I love, I love my dinosaur pet
Each and every day of the yearJanuary, he's breaking out of his shell
February, he's body's starting to swell
March, at least eight times a day he's got to be fed
April, when he sleeps with me he crushes the bedYeah, yeah, how big can he get
I love, I love, I love my little dinosaur pet
Every day, every day, every day, every day of the year
Every day of the yearMay, maybe if the roof was twice as tall

June, he wouldn't bump it when he's roaming the hall
July, like the fireworks he touches the sky
August, the cost of groceries is bleeding us dryYeah, yeah, how big can he get
I love, I love, I love my little dinosaur pet
Every day, every day, every day, every day of the year
Every day of the yearYeah, yeah, how big can he get
I love, I love, I love my little dinosaur pet
Every day, every day, every day, every day of the year
Every day of the yearSeptember, just the tail alone is thirty feet long
October, when we trick or treat he goes as King Kong
November, fifty turkeys weren't nearly enough
December, come the new year days are gonna get roughYeah, yeah, how big can he get
I love, I love, I love my little dinosaur pet
Every day, every day, every day, every day of the year
Every day of the yearI love, I love, I love my little dinosaur pet
Yeah, sweet dinosaur pet
I love, I love, I love my little dinosaur pet
Yeah, sweet dinosaur petI love, I love, I love my little dinosaur pet
Yeah, sweet dinosaur pet
I love, I love, I love my little dinosaur pet

Neil Sedaka (born 13 March 1939 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American pop singer, pianist, and songwriter often associated with the Brill Building era of songwriting. He teamed up with Howard Greenfield to write many major hit songs for himself and others.

Sedaka wrote his 1959 hit "Oh! Carol" about his then-girlfriend, Carol Klein, later to become Carole King. In 1963, King released a humorous answer entitled "Oh Neil".

The Laughter In the Rain Songfacts says Sedaka's hits dried up when The Beatles arrived, but then he teamed up with the lyricist Philip Cody and had a a number 1 hit with "Laughter In The Rain." It re-ignited Sedaka's career and he had 6 more Top-40 hits in America by 1977.

Sedaka's voice is in the tenor range.
