Discipline of Love Lyrics

Discipline of love
Discipline of love, yeahYou naughty girl so sharp and dry
Don't fill yourself with foolish pride
You wanted me to notice you
But when I came, you cut meWhy did you do it?
Why did you go and spoil the fun?
Why did you do it?
You need the discipline of love
You need the discipline of love
You need the discipline of love
Some disciplineYou wild child, how sweet you smile
Your crystal ball, it's brokenWhy did you do it?
Why did you go and spoil the fun?
Why did you do it?
You need the discipline of love
You need the discipline of love
You need the discipline of love
Some disciplineTake notice now, my turn to talk

The gate of love, it's narrowWhy did you do it?
Why did you go and spoil the fun?
Why did you do it?
You need the discipline of love
You need the discipline of love
You need the discipline of love
Some disciplineYou naughty girl so sharp and dry
Don't fill yourself with foolish prideWhy did you do it?
Why did you go and spoil the fun?
Why did you do it?
You need the discipline of love
You need the discipline of loveWhy did you do it?
Why did you go and make a fuss?
Why didn't you do it?
You need the discipline of love
You need the discipline of love
You need the discipline of love
You need the discipline of love
Some disciplineDiscipline of love, yeah
Discipline of love
Discipline of love, yeah
Discipline of love
Discipline of love, yeah
Discipline of loveDiscipline of love
Discipline of love
Discipline of love

Robert Allen Palmer (January 19, 1949 – September 26, 2003), born in Batley, Yorkshire, England, was a British singer. He was known for his soulful voice and the eclectic mix of musical styles on his albums, combining soul, jazz, rock, reggae, blues, and even yodeling.

His eighties hits were promoted by particularly striking award winning videos, featuring an all-female, black-clad backing band. The memorable videos, directed by Terence Donovan, featured heavily on MTV and played a large part in his transatlantic success.

His eighties success was kickstarted by his participation in supergroup The Power Station, along with Andy Taylor and John Taylor of Duran Duran and Tony Thompson of Chic.
