Do Right By Me Lyrics

Why dont you tell me what it is that you want
Ill tell you where it is that you should look
Dont think I dont know so much about you boy
Just because I never came undone on your hookI know you play love like its some kind of game
And everyone you ever knew will get a page in your book
Yeah but how many times is it gonna be this way
Before your sweet heart realizes just what it tookIf youd only do right by me
If youd only do right by me
Baby if youd only do right by me
Maybe I would do alright by youOnce you held a candle in the palm of your hand
It helped you light up your way down to the coast
And it brought you shelter from the howling night
Just when you needed it the mostYou can make out you only get as lost as you please
And that you like the way it feels when you feel just like a ghost
Yeah but how many times you gonna play the scene out
When the same way is the way that it always goesIf youd only do right by me
If youd only do right by me
Baby if youd only do right by me

Maybe I would do alright by youI saw you smile when you thought you had crossed the line
Only to realize youd never left the start
Well I know you wont admit it baby
But I can see its breaking your heartIf youd only do right by me
If youd only do right by me
Baby if youd only do right by me
Maybe I would do alright by youIf youd only do right by me
If youd only do right by me
Baby if youd only do right by me
Maybe I would do alright by you

Meet a Lancashire girl whose voice and sound will stop you dead in your tracks. Her name is Ren Harvieu. Her hair is heavy and shaggy, her eyes lined with kohl, her manner as down-to-earth as the streets of Broughton in Salford, which is where she was born, just over twenty-one years ago. Schooled in dusty youth club contests rather than star-spangled pop schools, she has had quite a life already; she’s also had quite a year. A terrifying accident nearly ended everything for her this summer, but now, only four months after she thought she would never walk again, she is walking back to us.
