Do You In Lyrics

Did it lie or did you fall?
Is that why you're now not answerin' my call?
Now who counts on you to be home at five?
Do you even care if I'm still alive?
I've got to know, if I'm still aliveDid you collapse or were you strong?
'Cause you know you had it comin' all along
Did you buckle under this heavy load?
Why did you leave me lyin' by the side of the road?
I've got to know, did it do you in?And did you drink it off in disgust?
Or did it ferment there, collecting rust?
Or did it just, did it do you in?And did you lie awake, lost in it?
When there's no one there do you still fit?
Do you still fit? Do you still fit in, yeah? Are you there, ten stories up?
And is your classified memory all dried up?
Did it happen on your birthday then?
Did you inhale deep and count to ten?
Or did you just, let it do you in?And did you drink it off in disgust?
Or did it ferment there, collecting rust?

Or did it just, did it do you in?And did you lie awake, lost in it?
When there's no one there do you still fit?
Do you still fit? Do you still fit in, yeah?Did it spin you 'round? Did it knock you down?
Did it embarrass you make you feel like a clown?
Or did it just, did it pull you in?Yeah, did it do enough to do you in?
Did you hold your breath, then breathe again?
I've wanna know, I wanna know, I wanna know did it do you in?
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Formed in Boston in 1987, According to Songfacts, Buffalo Tom's name is derived from the band Buffalo Springfield and the first name of the drummer Tom Maginnis. The band epitomized the rise of indie guitar rock in the 1990s, but unfortunately they had only limited commercial success, despite the consistently high quality of their records. While Buffalo Tom never 'officially' broke up, they took a seven year break, starting around 1999/2000.
