Don't Break My Heart Again Lyrics

Well she was standing there
At the edge of outta control
Hair wild and her eyes
Filled with the painShe took her heart on a string
And tied it to a red balloon
And she watched it fly up
High into the cloudsDon't break my heart again
We're one and the same
Baptized by tears
And washed in the blameYou can let your heart go
But I will hunt you down
Your love is all I want to win
So don't break my heart againHe dreams of a girl
With a heart tied to a red balloon
He wants her so bad
She wants him tooThey're standing there at the edge
Of another lonely night
House empty

And the walls are caving inDon't break my heart again
We're one and the same
Baptized by tears
And washed in the blameYou can let your heart go
But I will hunt you down
Your love is all I want to win
So don't break my heart againIt's hard to find love
It's hard to find love
It's hard to find love
It's hard to find loveDon't break my heart again
We're one and the same
Baptized by tears
And washed in the blameYou can let your heart go
But I will hunt you down
Your love is all I want to win
So don't break my heart againIt's hard to find love
But I will hunt you down
Your love is all I want to win
Don't break my heart again

Pat Green was born in San Antonio and raised in Waco, Texas, the eighth of nine siblings. His father was a stage actor, and Green fell in love with the musicals his father acted in. Green began his musical career when he was 18 and in college at Texas Tech in Lubbock. "I started playing guitar to pick up the chicks," Green laughs. "Before that, I only sang in the shower. I could mimic other people's voices. It took me a long time to find my own voice, but once I did, I became very comfortable with it. It's not real pretty but it's believable."
