Don't Cross the River Lyrics

There's a little girl out lying on her own
She's got a broken heart
She's not the kind to take you down for long
She knows and plays it smartAnd if she's coming, she's shown no more
She's heard no whistle blowing from the door
She feels like leaving and don't know why
Without no bridges she's trapped, so i sighDon't cross the river if you can't swim the tide
Don't try denying lying on the other side
All your life you were on your ownIf you want you can ride my train
Soon forget the reason that you're leaving
Lose yourself and then sometimes
Maybe even save yourself some grievingDon't cross the river if you can't swim the tide
Don't try denying lying on the other side
All your life you were on your ownIf you want you can ride my train
Soon forget the reason that you're leaving
Lose yourself and then sometimes
Maybe even save yourself some grievingDon't cross the river if you can't swim the tide
Don't try denying lying on the other side

All your life you were on your own

Troyal Garth Brooks (born February 7, 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma) is an American country music singer songwriter and charity director. Brooks was a phenomenal musical force in the 1990s. He had his chart breakthrough in 1989, having come apparently from nowhere, and was an immediate commercial success. Lacking the tall and lanky physical appearance typical of some male country stars, he successfully integrated pop and rock elements into his recordings and live performances.
