Don't Let Your Heart Grow Cold Lyrics

The winter will turn into springtime
It's been that way all my life
But I always forget when I'm freezing
When the days are shorter than the nightsI've lived so many lives in my lifetime
There were few I could've lived without
I found a beautiful world in some others
Trying to figure out the one right nowBut every day I look more like my father
I hope the change is on the inside, too
I want to learn how to love like my mother
I want to always see the best in youSo I married a girl in the springtime
And I swear that she's the love of my life
That doesn't mean it's always easy
It just means it's worth the fightAnd to my friends that are more like my family
I love you all so, so much
Sometimes the things we hold on to the strongest
Those are the things we don't say enoughSo i'm gonna keep writing and singing
Until I burn out or fade away
Out of all of the words that I'm leaving

There's really one thing I want to sayOh... Don't let your heart grow cold
Oh... Don't let your heart grow cold
Coz there's a love that won't let go
Crashing into you
Oh... Don't let your heart grow coldYeah there's a love that won't let go crashing into you
Oh... Don't let your heart grow cold.

On the surface, 22-year-old Florida native Matt Hires seems to be the epitome of the sunshine state: bare-footed, artistic, and coolly easy-going. But there’s a lot more to him than meets the eye. As a child, Matt was introduced to different musical genres by his father. It was Matt’s father that passed along his old, handmade acoustic guitar from 1977 to Matt when he was sixteen years old - the same guitar that Matt uses today. A homeschooler, Matt taught himself to play the guitar.
