Don't Look At Me (Genuine Version) Lyrics

Don't look at me if you're looking for perfection
Don't look at me I will only let you down
I'll do my best to point you in the right directon
But don't look at me
No, no, no
Don't look at me, look at HimSometimes I have a fear
That you will see a mirror
And get the thought that it's the main attraction
But all that you detect
Is just what I reflect
Of the object of my own affectionI'll lead you to the One I found
He'll give you everything you needDon't look at me if you're looking for perfection
Don't look at me I will only let you down
I'll do my best to point you in the right direction
But don't' look at me
No, no, no
Don't' look at me, look at HimIt's understandable to want a hero
But people can't meet all your expectations

Still some can teach you things about the love He brings
Just know the source of life is in the SaviorI'll lead you to the One I found
He'll give you everything you needDon't look at me if you're looking for perfection
Don't look at me I will only let you down
I'll do my best to point you in the right direction
But don't look at me
No,no, no
Don't look at me, look at HimHe's the One who lived a perfect life
He's the One who always gets it right
He's the One and only guiding light, Ohh, yeah
He is everthing you want to be
He's the answer to your every need
If you follow Him then you will se He's like no otherOoh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh yeahI'll do my best to point you in the right direction
But don't look at me
No, no, no
Don't look at me
Oh, don't look at me
I'll only let you down
I'll do my best to point you in the right direction
No no no no no oh oh look at Him
Yeah, yeah

She was discovered at a Christian talent contest when she was in her early teens and has since released three successful albums. Stacie got her start in 1998 at the age of 12 by attending a Christian music festival, Praise in the Rockies, held in her then-home state of Colorado. Stacie inadvertently entered a high-stakes talent competition, and won. A ForeFront Records executive was on hand and approached her for a record deal (she eventually did sign with them).
