Don’t Rob Another Man's Castle Lyrics

They say a man's home is his castle
And he's like a king on a throne
It may be a shack down alongside of track
But everything in it's his ownSo don't think of taking his loved one
It's written, 'Thou shall not steal'
So don't rob another man's castle
No matter how lonesome you feelNow don't rob another man's castle
Don't take his treasures away
Strange as it seems when you steal a man's dreams
You'll never know how much you'll paySo don't rob a man of his loved ones
You'll break his heart don't you see
I robbed another man's castle
Now someone just took her from me

Ernest Dale Tubb (February 9, 1914 – September 6, 1984), nicknamed the Texas Troubadour, was an American singer and songwriter and one of the pioneers of country music. His biggest career hit song, "Walking the Floor Over You" (1941), marked the rise of the honky tonk style of music. In 1948, he was the first singer to record a hit version of "Blue Christmas", a song more commonly associated with Elvis Presley and his mid-1950s version.
