Don't Take Away My Heart Lyrics

In my heart, in my heart
Love will last forever
In my heart just for youElectrify my heart, electrify my soul
Oh baby, don't, don't lose control
Electrify my skin, electrify my brain
Oh baby, don't leave me againNow what I do, I do it just for you
Love will last forever
You are a part of me, I'm not too blind to see
We'll stay togetherDon't take away my heart
Don't break it and depart
I'll be right here next to youDon't take away my heart
Don't break it and depart
When my heart beats, oh, it's trueWhy do you promise? Why do you promise, love?
Don't say it's over
Why do you promise? Why do you promise, love?
I'll be your loverElectrify my life, electrify the rain
Tell me the number of heaven again
Electrify my night, electrify my time

You are always on my mindWhy do I love you so? Cannot let you go
Dreams will last forever
The way you look tonight, lighting up my life
Let's stay togetherDon't take away my heart
Don't break it and depart
I'll be right here next to youDon't take away my heart
Don't break it and depart
When my heart beats, oh, it's trueWhy do you promise? Why do you promise, love?
Don't say it's over
Why do you promise? Why do you promise, love?
I'll be your loverI will stay, I will go, oh, my baby, let me know
I will die, I will steal, baby, if your love is realWhy do you promise? Why do you promise, love?
Don't say it's over
Why do you promise? Why do you promise, love?
I'll be your lover

Modern Talking was a German pop music duo consisting of composer/producer/background singer Dieter Bohlen and singer Thomas Anders. It was the single most successful pop group in Germany (by sales). First formed at the end of 1984 (Anders was 21), they unexpectedly became immensely popular with their standalone disco hit "You're My Heart, You're My Soul", which was then followed by "You Can Win If You Want" and "Cheri, Cheri Lady".
