Doors to Nowhere Lyrics

Up every day
Took my clothes off the chair
Poured out a drink
From the old Frigidaire
Some magazines
By the fire, never touched
Shiny red step
Always cleaned, always brushedNow those days are gone
Gone for us all
They wont return
Once there was a time
You may recallOver the wasteland
The full moon would rise
Hot summer nights
Put the stars in our eyes
Caught in the storm
Between thunder and rain
Ran down the hillside

Like we were insaneBehind doors to nowhere
We hide our childhood dreams
We pass time without care
Deceive when were not thereThe sun blinds pulled down
Made the walls tangerine
Dancers in white
Playing their tambourines
Slow dusty trains
Disappeared in the haze
Coaches arrived
At the crowded cafesNow those days are gone
Gone for us all
They wont return
Once there was a time
You may recallOver the wasteland
The full moon would rise
Hot summer nights
Put the stars in our eyes
Caught in the storm
Between thunder and rain
Ran down the hillside
Like we were insaneBehind doors to nowhere
We hide our childhood dreams
We pass time without care
Deceive when were not thereOver the wasteland
The full moon would rise
Hot summer nights
Put the stars in our eyes
Caught in the storm
Between thunder and rain
Ran down the hillside
Like we were insaneBehind doors to nowhere
We hide our childhood dreams
We pass time without care
Deceive when were not there
