Down By the River Lyrics

DOWN BY THE RIVER
THERE'S A TREE
BENEATH IT'S BRANCHES
YOU PROMISED MEYOUR LOVE FOREVER
NOW THAT LOVES GONE
DOWN BY THE RIVER
I'M ALL ALONEDO YOU REMEMBER
THAT BIG TREE
THE ONE WE CARVED ON
JUST YOU AND METHAT'S ONLY ONE THING
YOU LEFT BEHIND
A HEART WITH YOUR NAME
CARVED NEXT TO MINEDOWN BY THE RIVER
THERE'S A TREE
BENEATH IT'S BRANCHES
YOU PROMISED MEYOUR LOVE FOREVER
NOW THAT LOVES GONE
DOWN BY THE RIVER

I'M ALL ALONEIN EARLY AUTUMN
I HAVE FOUND
THE TREE GETS LONESOME
IT'S LEAVES TURN BROWNAND WITH EACH LEAF THAT FALLS
A TEAR FALLS TOO
DOWN BY THE RIVER
WHERE I MISS YOUDOWN BY THE RIVER
THERE'S A TREE
BENEATH IT'S BRANCHES
YOU PROMISED ME
YOUR LOVE FOREVERNOW THAT LOVES GONE
DOWN BY THE RIVER
I'M ALL ALONE
DOWN BY THE RIVER
I'M ALL ALONE
