Down On The Corner Of Love Lyrics

You'll find me hangin around
That's where I'll be found
Down on the corner of loveNeath the stars that shine
And neon signs
Down on the corner of loveWhen night starts to fall
And love starts to call
Down on the corner of loveYou'll find me hangin around
That's where I'll be found
Down on the corner of loveWhen it's late in the evenin'
I can't help a feelin'
My heart you're stealin'
Neath the stars up aboveOh, when the sun goes down
And the moon comes around
I'll be down on the corner of loveOh, when the sun goes down
And the moon comes around
I'll be down on the corner of loveIf you're passin' by
Too lonesome to cry
Down on the corner of loveJust stop for a while

I'll teach you to smile
Down on the corner of loveThe love that you had
Dirtied you bad
Down on the corner of loveForget you were blue
And start life anew
Down on the corner of loveWhen it's late in the evenin'
I can't help a feelin'
My heart you're stealin'
Neath the stars up aboveOh, when the sun goes down
And the moon comes around
I'll be down on the corner of love

Alvis Edgar Owens, Jr. (August 12, 1929 – March 25, 2006), better known as Buck Owens, was an American singer and guitarist who had 21 No. 1 hits on the Billboard country music charts with his band, the Buckaroos. They pioneered what came to be called the Bakersfield sound—a reference to Bakersfield, California, the city Owens called home and from which he drew inspiration for what he preferred to call American music.
