Driving Along Lyrics

Driving along you can see all the people
Who seem to have nothing to say to each other
Each day they grow farther and farther away from each otherDriving along you can spot all the problems
On faces so tired of facing each other
Each day they grow farther and farther away from each otherDriving along at fifty seven thousand miles an hour
Look at those people standing on the petals of a flower
Look at those petals pumping for a little bit of powerDriving along you can see all the people
Who seem to have nothing to say to each other
Each day they grow farther and farther away from each otherThey seem to say nothing, they seem to go nowhere
They seem to go farther, they seem to go nowhere
They seem to go farther, they seem to go nowhere
They seem to go farther and farther and farther

Harry Edward Nilsson III (born June 15, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York - died January 15, 1994), sometimes credited simply as Nilsson, was an American singer-songwriter with a three octave vocal range. He won Grammy Awards for Best Contemporary Male Vocal Performance for "Everybody's Talkin'" (1970) and "Without You" (1973), also his two biggest hits. Although both the aforementioned songs were composed by others, he was a talented songwriter in his own right, having written "One", a hit single for Three Dog Night.
