Dry Spell Lyrics

I've got dust on my shoes
Need my crankcase drained
I've got dust on my shoes
Need my crankcase drained
Its been a mean dry spell
But I think its gonna rainWell the storm clouds roll in
My dogs pulling on his chain
Well the storm clouds roll in
My dogs pulling on his chain
Its been a long dry spell
But I think its gonna rain
Let it rain now, nowWhen I look at my field
Everything is cracked and flayed
Say I look at my field
Everything is cracked and flayed
And then I wonder to myself
How much can a poor man takeIf your well runs dry
You might loose your sugarcane

Mmmm that good sweet cane babe
If your well runs dry
You might lose your sugarcane
Mmm hmmmIts been a mean dry spell
But I think its gonna rain
Its been a mean dry spell
But I think its gonna rain
Its been a mean dry spell
But I think its gonna rain
