New York City and Boston-based band. This is very fresh and refreshing stuff. It's "Alt rock opera", for lack of a better, more accurate term. Lyric-driven, great vocals, melodies, and very artful in its many details -- these are musians' musicians, led by Jim Bauer, who writes the music and lyrics (vocals & guitar as well), joined by some amazing talent: Meghan McGeary on vocals, David Rozenblatt on drums and marimba, Pablo Rieppi on percussion and vibes, Vessko Gellev on violin, and last but in no way least (he's amazing) Mat Fieldes on bass. "Door No. 1", their first CD released Sept 2006, is the first in what is planned to be a three-part song cycle about "a guy who can't get out of bed in the morning and an insect goddess who plunges through the ether to rescue him."
