Dust Lyrics

So lead me to the river
Blood runs thicker than the waterOh I do believe
Dust will turn the seed
HomeWrap me in your sheets together
Where my earth heart lies foreverOh I do believe
Dust will turn the seed
HomeThe Lowland Scot with English habits
Has brought me to his lowland mannersOh I do believe
Dust will turn the seed
HomeNo they can't understand
The hole that is in my heartOh I do believe
Dust will turn the seed
HomeI've lived my life here with the others
I long to live with you my brothersOh I do believe
Dust will turn the seed
HomeAnd my drum will beat this day
Pounding for the GaelOh I do believe
Dust will turn the seed

HomeAn end to sighs, all hands unite
In the spring that lies behind this sorrowOh I do believe
Dust will turn the seed
HomeDeep the faith and pure the light
That shines inside and guides your peopleOh I do believe
Dust will turn the seed
Home

Runrig is a Scottish folk rock band founded by brothers Calum and Rory Macdonald in 1973 in Portree, Isle of Skye, Scotland. The band is now popular across the United Kingdom, Denmark and Germany and is notable for combining original songs in Gaelic with a rock sound, thus reflecting the Gaelic culture. Runrig began in 1973 as a three-piece named the "Run Rig Dance Band", its members comprising Calum Macdonald and Rory Macdonald, and their friend, accordionist Blair Douglas. The line-up played its first gig at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow.
