Eagle Song Lyrics

I am a cardinal red
I am of blood and of bones and of heart and of head
A thousand miles ahead and behind
Oh to be lost, oh to be wasting my timeOn a hill we lay in the sun
In the foot of a statue of all battles lost, battles won
I remember you're voice and you're clothes
A well chosen passage of words from a book I don't knowOh me, oh my, oh man what have I become
Running around writing letters I'll never send homeCall me in the morning I'll be alright
Call me in the morning I'll be alright
Call me little honey and I'll be fineCall me in the morning I'll be okay
Call me in the morning I'm far away
Call me little darling and I'll be fineAn eagle flew above us
Blankets wrapped around us
Lucky that she found us
Rooted to the groundThe eagle flew above us
Blankets wrapped around us
Lucky that she found us
Rooted to the groundNo one will believe us

Mountains as our witness
Blankets wrapped around us
The eagle flew aboveBy the lake
So high, so highCall me in the morning I'll be alright
Call me in the morning I'll be alright
Call me little honey and I'll be fineCall me in the morning I'll be okay
Call me in the morning I'm far away
Call me little darling and I'll be fine

2) The Staves are a baroque pop band from NYC. 1) The Staves are a three girls folk-rock band from the UK. Emily, Jessica, and Camilla Staveley-Taylor have been making music together since they were children, growing up in Watford, UK, England. Brought up in a house that echoed to the sounds of Simon & Garfunkel, Crosby, Stills & Nash and The Beatles, singing in perfect 3-part harmony came naturally to these three sisters.
