Eaten By the Monster of Love Lyrics

Don't let it get me, don't let it get me
Don't let it get me, don't let it get me
Don't let it get me, don't let it get meWell, it's Saturday night and I'm still free
And I ain't never gonna be
Eaten by the monster of love
(Don't let it get me)It's hard to fight it off much more
I hear it drooling by the door
Eaten by the monster of love
(Don't let it get me)It ain't a pretty sight to see the way it leaves 'em
(Don't let it get me)
It chews them up and spits out creatures with those
Goo-gooy-ey eyes, sick sickly smiles, it just isn't rightAnd my father said "Don't worry, son"
But look at him, he should have run
Eaten by the monster of loveDon't let it get me, don't let it get me
Don't let it get me, don't let it get meWell, it's worse than war, it's worse than death
There ain't too many left who ain't been
Eaten by the monster of love
(Don't let it get me)Buy a dog and that might help, sometimes

Though, a dog gets grabbed
And eaten by the monster of love
(Don't let it get me)It ain't a pretty sight to see the way it leaves 'em
(Don't let it get me)
It chews them up and spits out creatures with those
Goo-gooy-ey eyes, sick sickly smiles, it just isn't rightEaten by the monster of love
(Don't let it get me)
Let it huff, let it puff
(Don't let it get me)
Eaten by the monster of love
(Don't let it get me)
I hate to gripe, but I just ain't the typeDon't let it get me, don't let it get me
(Love love love, love love love)
Don't let it get me, don't let it get me
(Love love love, love love love)Don't let it get me, don't let it get me
(Love love love, love love love)
Don't let it get me, don't let it get me
(Love love love, love love love)Well, I know some really good, good people
Overcome and piece by piece they were
Eaten by the monster of love
(Don't let it get me)And sometimes it takes a nip at me
But I'm too quick to ever be
Eaten by the monster of loveDon't let it get me, don't let it get me
(Love love love, love love love)
Don't let it get me, don't let it get me
(Love love love, love love love)Well, eaten by the monster of love
(Don't let it get me)
Eaten by the monster of love
(Don't let it get me)
Eaten by the monster of love
(Don't let it get me)
Eaten by the monster of loveDon't let it get me, don't let it get me
(Love love love, love love love)
Don't let it get me, don't let it get me
(Love love love, love love love)Don't let it get me, don't let it get me
(Love love love, love love love)
Don't let it get me, don't let it get me
(Love love love, love love love)

There are at least three bands named Sparks.

One is an American rock and pop music band formed in Los Angeles in 1970 by brothers Ron Mael (keyboards) and Russell Mael (vocals), initially under the name Halfnelson. Best known for their quirky approach to song writing, Sparks' music is often accompanied by cutting and acerbic lyrics, and an idiosyncratic stage presence, typified in the contrast between Russell's wide-eyed hyperactive frontman antics and Ron's sedentary scowling.

The band's long career has seen them successfully adopt many different musical genres; including glam pop, power pop, electronic dance music and mainstream pop. Despite these many styles, a recognizable "Sparks sound" remains throughout, and they have enjoyed a large cult following since their first releases. Sparks have been highly influential on the development of popular music, in particular on the late 1970s scene, when in collaboration with Giorgio Moroder (and Telex subsequently), they reinvented themselves as an electronic pop duo, and abandoned the traditional rock band line up. In contrast to the esteem in which they are held by such peers as Depeche Mode, New Order, Pet Shop Boys and They Might Be Giants, who all cite Sparks as a major influence, their almost constantly changing styles and unique visual presentations have sometimes seen them dismissed as a novelty act.

The 2002 release of Lil' Beethoven, their self-described "genre-defining opus", and 2006's Hello Young Lovers (their 20th studio album) have brought Sparks renewed critical and commercial success, and seen them continue to "steer clear of pop conventions."

The other is a Christian rock band from Finland. MySpace

The third Sparks is pop group from Poland,
