Electric Pink Lyrics

I live on a small street with very small shoes
But in a big house with a big wardrobe
I've got the whole world in my hands
It's a small world after allAnd there's not much to say on five bucks a day
And there's no other way so we're just hanging around
For the weekend to come we're all hungry
And dumb for FridaySo yeah, I feel electric pink in the cheeks
We look like animals seven days a week
I feel electric pink in the cheeks
I'm too polite and maybe you're too briefPlease don't press that we dress
High heels and loud shoes are a mess step out with quiet feet
And now I'm pleased to meet
Meeting is so hard to do when you're deadSo yeah, I feel electric pink in the cheeks
We look like animals seven days a week
I feel electric pink in the cheeks
I'm too polite and maybe you're too briefBetween a wink and an earthquake there are conversations
And complications go on, on, and onI pretend that I understand my hands
And the rest are only a test

To be paid to be pressed when we end
We will be softly kissedSo yeah, I feel electric pink in the cheeks
We look like animals seven days a week
I feel electric pink in the cheeks
I'm too polite and maybe you're too briefI feel electric pink in the cheeks
We look like animals seven days a week
Yeah what did you think that I would be feeling, electric pink
Yeah yeah yeah what did you think that I would be feeling, electric pink
Yeah yeah yeah now what did you think that would be feeling, electric pink
Electric pinkI live on a small street steppin' out with quiet feet

The Promise Ring were an American midwest emo band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, started as a side project by Davey von Bohlen during his time as a guitarist/vocalist for Cap'n Jazz in the year 1995. VonBohlen started the project alongside guitarist Jason Gnewikow of None Left Standing, drummer Dan Didier of Ceilishrine, and bassist Scott Beschta. 1996 brought their first full-length album, titled 30° Everywhere, released by Jade Tree Records. The record was followed by 1997's Nothing Feels Good, which gained the band a larger following and rave reviews.
