Elijah Lyrics

God Said He Would Send
(Down Fire)
Said He Would
(Send It Down To Elijah)
Said He Would
(Set The Alter On Fire, Didnt He Say) 2x
Elijah Was A Great Man Of God They Tell Me That Elijah Wandered Abroad To A Land No Food or water to drink ;
But They Tell Me Great God He Had Strength; He Got Food From The Ravens And The Doves, He Got Water From The Brook So I Heard;
Then Elijah Went Down Into Egypt Land How Long Their Pharoah Would Stand God Said He Would Send
(Down Fire)
Said He Would
(Send It Down To Elijah)
Said He Would
(Set The Alter On Fire Didn't He Say)
Old King Ahab Wanted To Know how could any man be so sure
serving an idol god he called Baal Elijah said "my God you ought to know", i just came from my master got a request build one alter and we'll have a contest
so they build an alter of many stone and the mighty men they began to moan
and they cried Baal

(send the fire)
oh Baal
(send the fire)
they cried Baal
(send the fire, but old Baal was sleeping, old Baal was sleeping, down, down in eternity to rise no more)
Elijah called on the God on high asking him to send down fire he feel on his knees and begain to pray this are the word that i heard him say
Oh Lord
(oh Lord)
Oh Lord
(oh Lord)
oh Lord
(oh Lord)
hear me Master
(oh Lord)
the fire came from heaven on high, struck the alter set it on fire power rained in every flame burned up the alter in my Gods name
didnt he say he would send
(down fire)
he said he would
(send it down to Elijah)
he said he would
(set the alter)
said he would
(set the alter)
said he would
(set the alter on fire, didnt he say)
