Elusive Lyrics

She's a gambler spinning wheels
A poison victim but look of steel
The coldest heart's you've ever felt
The coldest hands you've ever heldTaking down on her way
A million miles, still no headway
As I learn to live long
In his mind I'm proud to roamShe's elusive and I'm awake
You're finally real, there's nothing fake
A mystery now to me and you
Open my eyes and I'm next to you
He said my destiny lies in the hands that set me freeReckless night, she hears me breathe
Cursing the sky at this company
They lost the wisdom deep inside
When bitterness shows its sideIf it's true, I am doomed
What more is there to hold on to?
A strand of her hair is all I own
A gift to me, this sorry soulShe's elusive and I'm awake
You're finally real, there's nothing fake

A mystery now to me and you
Open my eyes and I'm next to you
She said my destiny lies in the hands that set me freeThe sun in sails and this ain't right
There's more to her than meets the eye
She comes and goes at any time
Back in my head at another timeShe's elusive and I'm awake
You're finally real, there's nothing fake
A mystery now to me and you
Open my eyes and I'm next to you
She said my destiny lies in the hands that set me free

From the confinements of four bedroom walls in the West Midlands, Scott Matthews produced the music that made him the first artist to be signed to record label San Remo Records in 2004. As a Wolverhampton-born singer/songwriter Scott has captivated audiences across the Midlands and beyond. On the 2nd of October 2006 he released his debut album Passing Stranger. At seven years old Matthews aquired his first guitar, a junior-sized 'Kapok' acoustic (which he still has), although things didn’t quite go to plan.
