Empathy Lyrics

As the days grow colder now
And everything is lost
A vision forms of better men
Rising from the crossNever held the key to life
Finally their loss
Rising from the emptiness
And all that ever wasThe battle rages on 'til now
Many men were lost
Dried into an empty shell
Nailed onto the crossAs I lie awake by now
Having never loved
Heaven sent for all of us
So painful our lossIn the eyes of the world, a believer
But I'm sure they are turning awayTakes me down to a place below
Can't you see I'm falling?
Pain has come and the world will surely hide
In empathyAnd then the world's religious fools
Come knocking at your door

Mankind is not wiser now
I've heard it all beforeStill the mindless will hail the deceivers
And I'm sure they'll be turning awayTakes me down to a place below
Can't you see I'm falling?
Pain has come and the world will surely hide
In empathyTakes me down to a place below
Can't you see I'm falling?
Pain has come and the world will surely hideTakes me down to a place below
Can't you see I'm falling?
Pain has come and the world will surely hide
In empathyEmpathy, in empathy
(And the world will hide)
In empathy, in empathy
(And the world will hide)In empathy
(Yes, the world will hide)
In empathy
(The world will hide)
Empathy, empathy

Founded in 1989 by Kai Hansen in Hamburg, Germany after leaving Helloween, Gamma Ray borrowed straight from the Helloween classics, and continued to pioneer Hansen's style of power metal. After four years with Helloween, Kai Hansen decided to leave the band at the height of their career. He then went on to do some studio work with Blind Guardian. Kai and his friend Ralf Scheepers from Tyran' Pace decided to start a project. They recruited bassist Uwe Wessel and drummer Mathias Burchard. The resulting sound was very close to Helloween's power metal style.
